Why is Barry Bonds throwing out the first pitch?

Barry Bonds threw out the first pitch at the NLCS at AT&T Park in San Francisco.  Why are they allowing this steroid cheater on the field?  I find this quite depicable.

BTW San Fran won 3-0 v Phillies
